Allianz's El-Erian joins international advisory board at Investcorp

Investcorp, the alternative investments manager, has appointed Mohamed El-Erian, chief economic adviser at Allianz, to its international advisory board.

El-Erian is currently chair of Allianz's international advisory board, where he is also chief economic adviser. Prior to this, he was CEO and joint CIO at PIMCO between 2007 and 2014. He joined the firm in 1999 to lead its emerging markets business. He has also held senior roles in academia, international institutions and the private sector, as well as serving as chairman of the US government's Global Development Council under President Barack Obama.
