BNP Paribas AM hard closes Parvest Japan Equity Small Cap fund

BNP Paribas Asset Management has hard closed its £1.4bn Parvest Equity Japan Small Cap fund following significant inflows.

The firm said the decision was made to protect the interests of current investors, as further flows would impact the ability of the fund to meet its investment objectives, in terms of both maintaining management style and liquidity. Its board of directors therefore decided to limit the Luxembourg-domiciled fund's size by suspending new subscriptions from 30 June.  However, BNP Paribas Asset Management continues to offer broader access to Japanese equities through its Parvest Equity Japan fund.
