Franklin Templeton Investments' senior director and UK country head Ian Wilkins is to leave the firm in December after 16 years.

Head of retail sales Alex Brotherston and head of institutional Jill Barber will lead the company's UK distribution teams until Wilkins's replacement is announced. The pair will continue to report to managing director, EMEA, Vivek Kudva. A spokesperson for the company said: "Ian has decided to leave Franklin Templeton Investments, to pursue other opportunities, effective 8 December. "We would like to thank Ian for his contributions to the firm over the last 16 years and wish him well in his future endeavours."
