Rathbones poaches Investec's Tumkur as head of equity research

Will develop investment philosophy

Rathbones has appointed former senior equity analyst at Investec Wealth & Investment, Sanjiv Tumkur, as head of equity research.

Tumkur (pictured) will be based in London and report to Elizabeth Savage, head of research. He will be responsible for developing and promoting Rathbones' equity investment philosophy and process. At Investec, Tumkur was primarily responsible for sector coverage in large-cap stocks across the UK, Europe, and the US. He has also held positions at Morgan Grenfell and Alliance Bernstein.
