AXA IM appoints deputy manager on American Growth fund

New hire from Aerion Fund Management

AXA Investment Managers has hired David Shaw from Aerion Fund Management for the role of deputy manager on the £559m AXA Framlington American Growth fund, Investment Week can reveal.

Based in London, Shaw will work alongside and report to the fund's lead manager and head of US strategies, Stephen Kelly. The move comes after previous co-manager Dan Harlow rejoined AXA's UK equities team as manager of the £283m AXA Framlington UK Smaller Companies fund, following the departure of previous manager Henry Lowson. Shaw will also become deputy manager of the AXA WF Framlington American Growth fund, a Luxembourg SICAV, and a number of additional segregated mandates.
