Schroders appoints ex-Nomura CFO as Japan country head

Schroders has named former chief financial officer of Nomura Holdings Shigesuke Kashiwagi as president and country head of Japan to replace Guy Henriques, who will return to the UK from Tokyo.

According to Reuters, Kashiwagi (pictured) has been appointed by Schroders after abruptly leaving his role at Nomura in March. The departure occurred shortly before the Japanese investment bank announced an overhaul of its senior management and appointed a new chief operating officer. In his new role, Kashiwagi will be based in Tokyo, reporting to Lieven Debruyne, CEO for Asia Pacific at Schroders.
