Electra launches strategic review for first time in decade

Follows shareholder demand

The board of Electra Private Equity has launched a review into its investment strategy and policy, as well as its structure, for the first time in 10 years following demand from a "significant proportion" of shareholders.

The review will look at all options for maximising long-term shareholder value, and is due to be completed by autumn. For the present, the company's business will operate as usual. Electra's current investment strategy and policy was approved by shareholders in October 2006, although some amendments to capital structures and fees were introduced in February last year.
