Morgan Stanley IM re-opens Global Brands fund

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has re-opened its Global Brands fund after three years, as capacity has become available in the strategy.

The MS INVF Global Brands fund, launched in October 2000, has re-opened for subscriptions today, the group said, after it was soft-closed to new retail investments in December 2012, in a bid to preserve the performance of the top-performing portfolio. At the time of closing, the Global Brands OEIC had £500m in assets, while the offshore SICAV was some $9bn in size, prompting the group to restrict investment.
