Stepping down to focus on running Merlin range

John Chatfeild-Roberts is to step down from his role as CIO at Jupiter Asset Management to concentrate on the job he "enjoys most" - running the £8bn Merlin multi-manager range.

Stephen Pearson, former European equity fund manager who has been with the group since 2001, will take on the CIO role. Chatfeild-Roberts (pictured) described the move as a "natural evolution" as Pearson was made deputy CIO in July 2012, and head of investments a year later.
