F&C hands GEM fund responsibilities to sister firm LGM

F&C is handing over the management of its Global Emerging Markets fund to sister company LGM Investments, following the integration of their emerging markets teams last year.

LGM managers Rasmus Nemmoe and Irina Hunter, who have run the LGM Global Emerging Markets Growth and Income fund since 2012, will take over F&C's own product from 1 July. LGM is a fellow subsidiary of F&C's parent company BMO Global Asset Management. The two firms combined their global emerging markets teams in November. Current managers Jeff Chowdhry and Sam Mahtani will continue to work in the team, led by LGM's chief investment officer, focusing on the responsible GEM strategy.
