Aviva Investors macro specialist joins Insight

Aviva Investors' David Hillier has joined Insight as part of its multi-asset team.

Hillier (pictured) has been an economist in Aviva's multi-asset team since 2009, having previously worked as chief UK economist at Barclays Capital. He joins Insight's multi-asset team as portfolio manager and will report to Matthew Merritt, head of the multi-asset strategy group. Merritt said: "David's wealth of experience in multi-asset portfolio management, together with his deep knowledge of macro-economic principles, makes him a high-calibre addition to our team."
