Artemis is to take over management of the Mid Wynd International investment trust as Baillie Gifford's Michael MacPhee retires.
MacPhee, who has managed the global equity trust since 1998, will be replaced by Artemis' Global Select team: Simon Edelsten (pictured), Alex Illingworth and Rosanna Burcheri. That will bring to an end Baillie Gifford's 33-year spell running the £76m trust, the company having been Mid Wynd's manager since the time of its flotation in 1981. The board of the trust had said last October that it was considering new management options ahead of MacPhee's retirement.
