New research house to reveal fund charging structures

Hugues Gillibert, former head of new ventures at Thomson Reuters, has set up an independent fund research company providing detailed data on the fees and expenses of UK and European funds.

The newly-launched business, Fitz Partners, will provide fund groups with a detailed breakdown of the fund fees charged by their competitors, to allow them to compare themselves against their peers. Gillibert originally developed Fitzrovia International in 1996 with Paul Moulton to provide data on fund fees. They sold the business to Lipper in 2004, and it was later closed following a restructure.
