IMA launches online Targeted Absolute Return sector filtering tool

The IMA has launched an online review tool for the Targeted Absolute Return sector designed to help advisers and consumers find and compare funds.

The filtering tool, which went live on 3 December, allows users to compare funds which share similar characteristics. The new "soft monitoring" data, designed as a starting point for those considering investing in Targeted Absolute Return, follows a review of the sector earlier this year. One of the outcomes of that review saw the IMA emphasise that Absolute Return fund returns should not be compared to the sector as a whole, due to their disparate investment styles and timeframes.
