Investec Wealth appoints head of investment strategy

John Wyn-Evans has joined Investec Wealth & Investment as head of investment strategy.

He joins IW&I's 19-strong research team to take over the role from head of research John Haynes. Haynes took on responsibility for providing advice on investment strategy to the firm's IFA clients following the departure earlier this year of chief investment strategist Jim Wood-Smith. The appointment allows Haynes to focus exclusively on the team's processes and the services it provides to investment managers and across the firm's wider client base, Investec said.
