Former Skandia manager Hughes joins Apollo

Former Skandia senior portfolio manager Ryan Hughes is to join Apollo Multi Asset Management, Investment Week can reveal.

He will join the boutique on 14 October as a portfolio manager, working alongside investment managers and co-founders Steve Brann, Ian Willings, and Craig Wetton. Hughes (pictured) has previously worked with Wetton at Chartwell Asset Management. He joined Skandia in 2006, running money for the group's Best Ideas funds. His role was restructured at the end of 2012, with Hughes subsequently managing investment solutions on Skandia's platform prior to leaving the business in April this year.
