With true alpha proving ever harder to come by, it is no surprise that articles highlighting some of the top performers of recent years proved among the most popular of this week's stories.

Readers were eager to discover which funds have produced 100%+ returns over the past five years, as well as some potential absolute return outperformers. Elsewhere, some recurring industry trends continued to stand out.
