Ashburton launches Africa fund

Ashburton has unveiled an Africa Equity Opportunities fund aimed at both retail and institutional investors.

The fund will be managed by Paul Clark, who has previous experience running an African mandate at African Alliance Group in 2007. Clark will invest in undervalued African equities, using a bottom-up stock selection process. The manager predicts Africa will be one of the world's fastest growing regions in the next five years, with certain sectors of the market set to offer attractive investment opportunities.
