Schroders has reopened its US mid-cap strategy to new investment after two years of closure.
The onshore US Mid Cap and the offshore ISF US Small & Mid-Cap Equity strategy - managed by New York-based head of US small- and mid-cap equities Jenny Jones (pictured) - will reopen to investors. However, the £487m US Smaller Companies fund will remain soft-closed. The US Mid Cap fund, best known in the UK retail market, has £847m under management. The overall strategy has seen assets fall since the offshore product was hard-closed in 2011 at $4.5bn (£2.76bn). At the time Schroders also raised the initial charge to 5.25%.
