Tong and Warnock exit Alliance Trust following overhaul

UK income managers Neil Tong and Kenneth Warnock have left Alliance Trust Investments, Investment Week understands.

The departures come following a move by chief executive Katherine Garrett-Cox (pictured) to restructure the group to focus on global equities and fixed income. Two months ago, in a client update to the market, Alliance Trust announced its intention to close its UK Equity Income, Asia-Pacific Equity and Japan Equity funds, which the group said would lead to a number of redundancies. At the time the firm refused to comment on which fund managers would leave as part of the overhaul, adding some new roles would be made available after the restructure, but it is now understood Tong and War...
