M&G expands multi-asset fund range with defensive portfolio

M&G has expanded its multi-asset range of funds with the addition of a defensive portfolio, as part of a wider move to rebrand the range.

The M&G Episode Defensive fund will be managed by Eric Lonergan (pictured) who also co-manages the M&G Macro Episode fund. It will offer UK investors access to M&G's multi-asset strategy, but with a lower risk profile than the existing funds. The group is also rebranding its range of multi-asset funds under the Episode banner. M&G's existing multi-asset range consists of the £112m Income Multi Asset fund, run by Steven Andrew, as well as the £317m Cautious Multi Asset fund run by Juan Nevado and Tony Finding.
