William Blair unveils emerging markets growth fund

US asset manager William Blair has launched an Emerging Leaders Growth SICAV for managers Todd McClone and Jeff Urbina.

The fund will invest in equities issued by large- and mid-cap emerging market firms, which have above average growth potential and profitability. The managers will select companies with a market cap of at least $3bn and are organised within the laws of emerging market countries, or issue securities that are principally traded in the region. In order to ensure diversification, the fund will allocate investments across at least six different emerging market countries.
