Ignis creates £2.4bn multi-manager unit

Ignis has hired Michiel Timmerman from Aberdeen Asset Management to run its newly created £2.5bn multi-manager unit.

Timmermann, former CIO of RBS Asset Management, will be joining Ignis Advisers as managing director and CIO, responsible for growing the business. Ignis Advisers houses funds of hedge funds, funds of real estate, funds of private equity and a retail multi-manager capability. Timmerman says the current market conditions are presenting opportunities to offer specialist and multi-asset funds to clients.
