Axa unveils sterling short-duration credit fund

Axa Investment Managers is launching a sterling-denominated short-duration credit fund.

The portfolio will be managed by Julie Lamirel, who runs the £212m Corporate Bond fund alongside Theo Zemek. Axa Sterling Credit Short Duration Bond will primarily hold investment grade corporate debt with a maturity ceiling of five years from date of purchase. The portfolio can also hold up to 10% in short-duration high-yield bonds. The fund, which is launching tomorrow, is the latest in a series of specialist short-dated bond products from the group, which includes Anne Yobage’s popular US Short Duration High Yield fund.
