First State launches onshore mirror of Global Agribusiness

First State has launched an onshore version of its Global Agribusiness fund, managed from Australia by global resources specialists Renzo Casarotto and Skye Macpherson.

The UK-domiciled fund is a mirror of the Dublin-based fund the group launched a few weeks ago. It has been seeded internally. Graham Fox, the head of UK and European wholesale, says the onshore version of the fund is designed to improve accessibility for investors, especially as it is available for investment in sterling. “Launching the onshore Oeic makes it more user friendly for our UK client base,” he says. The fund invests across a global universe of 400 companies, with sectors including crop protection, equipment services, farming operations, seed fertilisers, technology and water....
