Former Gartmore manager Surtees joins Standish

Former Gartmore head of credit Simon Surtees has joined BNY Mellon Asset Management's Standish affiliate.

Surtees was head of credit at Gartmore until his departure in July last year and oversaw the £129.7m High Yield Corporate Bond fund before being replaced by Kam Tugnait in May. In his new role as a fixed income product specialist, Surtees will be responsible for providing business and product development for BNY Mellon's US-based fixed income boutique Standish Asset Management's non-domestic clients.
