F&C has been replaced as manager of the £290m Foreign & Colonial Eurotrust following prolonged underperformance.
The company, managed by F&C's Peter Jarvis, has fallen 24.3% over three years against an AIC European Investment Trust sector average rise of 1.4%. Edinburgh Partners, which currently manages two global investment trusts valued at £130m, has been appointed as the new manager of the company from 1 February 2010. It is also expected the company will be renamed the European Investment trust from this date.
