Himsworth to become Gartmore head of UK equities

Royal London UK Mid-Cap Growth trust manager Leigh Himsworth will leave the company to become Gartmore's head of UK equities in the autumn.

The seventh senior hire for Gartmore in the past 12 months, Himsworth follows a string of high-profile additions, including GAM's John Bennett and Rensburg's John Anderson. Bennett is set to take over the £1.5bn European Select Opportunities fund next year, replacing current managers Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg. Anderson has brought his Corporate Bond fund over to the group from Rensburg, along with assuming control of Simon Surtees' existing Gartmore Corporate Bond vehicle, Dan Roberts, formerly of Aviva Investors, is also a recent hire for the group, replacing Chris Burvill on ...
