Gartmore and invesco perpetual see strong global performance in fourth quarter
Investors in global equity funds fared well during 2006 with the median mainstream vehicle returning 9.3% in the fourth quarter while its smaller-companies counterpart grew by 11.7%, according to Standard & Poor's. In the latest review of the Global Equities sector, S&P's head of fund research James Tew said over the year as a whole, mainstream funds slightly outperformed, recording a median return of 20.6% against 19.9% from smaller companies vehicles.
