Nostalgia envelops me as I write this article, recalling those good old days of the late 1990s when investing for growth was so easy. What enlightened professionals we were, seeing clearly the destiny of all those odd little tech companies with unpronounceable names but such rock-solid business plans. How we laughed at those odd people who bought old economy stocks. Why couldn't they understand that the high streets would empty as we shopped and banked online, that paper mills would become a relic of the past, that trains and planes would stop running as video teleconferencing took over...
