US to outperform global markets over short term

Bob Turner believes worst may soon be over for US, while other economies are just beginning to feel the pinch

US equities are poised for a rally after a prolonged period of underperformance, according to Turner Investment Partners chairman Bob Turner. The Philadelphia-based fund management house is also maintaining its bias to growth stocks, expecting a recovery in the market. "For the first time this decade, we believe the US is primed to outperform the global stock market in the near term," Turner said.
