Heptagon Capital has launched its first long-only global equity fund of funds. The group started up in 2005, headed up by ex-Morgan Stanley directors including Tarek Mooro and Fredrik Plyhr. Its Global Equity vehicle is list-ed on the Irish Stock Exchange and will be run as a relatively concentrated fund of funds, investing in onshore vehicles, Sicavs and Irish Oeics. It may also hold listed tracker funds if manager Plyhr believes there is limited value to be found in actively managed vehicles. The group is unlikely to invest in hedge funds.
