aifa research reveals fall in with-profits promotion by intermediaries
Only one in 10 intermediaries are recommending with-profits funds to new clients, research from Aifa has revealed. Meanwhile, just half are advising existing clients to continue regular contributions to such schemes while only 56% of these do so frequently or almost always. This decline in the product is reflected in sales figures from the ABI, which show new regular premium business into with-profits funds via life and pensions products stood at £265m in 2005, compared to £754m in 2000.
