hreadneedle's American Companies Growth fund manager Robert Graham Brown is leaving the company less than 18 months after taking over the vehicle. Cormac Weldon, head of the US team and deputy on the £100m fund, is running it in the interim until the firm finds a replacement for Brown, who joined as a trainee in 2001. Whoever is recruited will join high profile, ex-Baillie Gifford manager Andrew Holliman, who joined in 2004, to run the American Growth fund.
