Merrill Lynch was looking to launch two additional technology themes funds in its $15bn Luxembourg Sicav, the Mercury Selected Trust. The MST Emerging Markets TeleTech fund and the MST Digital Europe fund took the range run by Mercury Asset Management Channel Islands to 39 funds. The dollar denominated Emerging Markets TeleTech fund was to be run by Ali Khalpey and Plamen Monovski. The Digital Europe fund was to be managed by Gariesh Sharma of the Merrills' European specialist team.
