More cautious funds victorious under IMA's new bond sectors

Inaugural week for newly formed IMA sector statistics

A look at the new IMA bond sectors suggests funds moving from UK Other Bond to £ Strategic Bond have fared worst over one-year performance. As the first performance stats became available last week, they revealed that of the 14 funds shifted from UK Corporate Bond to £ Strategic, five have come up top-quartile over three years and seven are top-quartile over one year as at 15 September, according to Morningstar.
