The IMA's Unclassified sector now comprises 33 portfolios, with an increasing number of launches under non-traditional mandates. Among the products included in the grouping are Credit Suisse Target Return, Merrill Lynch UK Absolute Alpha, UBS Medium Term Fixed Interest and F&C European Bond. Launched by the association in 2002, the sector was designed to house private portfolios, funds not marketed to the retail public, products that do not fit in any particular area or those that break specific sector rules.
