Rothschild Asset Management hired Hill Samuel's David Kiddie as chief investment officer to tighten up its global investment culture, in order to appear more attractive to institutional investors. As part of the process, RAM said that it intended to bring US fund management for UK investors to London from its former base in New York. Kiddie was formerly head of pan-European equities at Hill Samuel and managed a 30-strong team of fund managers controlling £26bn of funds, covering UK and continental Europe markets.
