Io Investors has launched a Dublin-domiciled fund of funds (Fof) targeting a return of inflation plus 5%. Managed by PSolve, a specialist investment consultancy in the same group as Io, the InflationPlus portfolio will look to achieve its aims through a mixture of asset allocation and manager selection. The portfolio will have no formal asset allocation constraints, although co-manager Carol Allison said there is likely to be at least 5% in index-linked gilts, unless they are offering poor value, because of the inflation-linked return target.
