Friends Provident has launched a Cautious Managed fund for its pension platform, run by Paul Niven from the group's investment arm F&C. Designed to appeal to investors with a cautious outlook, the portfolio will have exposure to bonds and equities in a broadly even split, plus a small property allocation. On 31 July, the fund had 42% invested in fixed interest, 39% in UK equities, 10.5% in overseas equities, 5.0% in property and 3.5% held in cash.
