The Scottish American investment trust's equity positions damaged performance over six months to 30 June, while exposure to bonds and property was beneficial. Just over half of Saints assets are invested in the UK and, according to chairman Brian Ivory, that portion of the vehicle returned 5.6% while the UK market grew by 6.1%.
