Blue Oar Asset Management has launched the first of several funds as it begins to push into the UK retail market. Its first vehicle, CF Blue Oar UK MidCap Unique Companies, launched today, with two more to follow this year and a further three in 2009. The Aim-listed investment bank set up an asset management arm, headed up by former Matrix manager John Rosier, this year. He will run the fund, investing in the group's own FTSE 250 Unique Index, created and researched by Nick Redfern.
