Sarasin was to launch a technology- based Websar fund to the UK market. The fund was to contain four themes. The first was called growth enhancer and contained conventional companies that used the web to boost sales. The second, productivity enhancer, represented traditional companies that use the web to cut costs. The next theme contained companies such as Yahoo! and Amazon which owe their existence to the internet, and the fourth constituted the networked world.
