Fund managers in the cautious managed sector are somewhat like the rainy day weatherman ' desperate to be out spreading gloom when it's sunny and destined to be noticed only when it's raining. It is not surprising that the turmoil of recent months has led to a resurgence of interest in the sector, but is it right to be pushing the virtues of more conservative funds after so much damage has already been done?
