Probably not, because when banks (in particular) screw up they rarely admit it - they will next evacuate their commercial bad lending at the public's expense, blaming a credit crisis of their own making. But although much economic rubbish has to be dumped, the world has not come to an end. After a disquieting pause, value investing can re-emerge.
