The Hartford has extended its capital protection SafetyNet feature to individual funds available within its Gold investment bond. As well as protecting capital, the feature also locks in any growth up to a 10% maxim on an annual basis. Until now, the feature, which costs 0.5% a year on top of other product charges, has only been available on the product's pre-constructed portfolios, namely Income, Rising Income, Cautious Managed, Growth and Adventurous Growth.
