Third party administrator IFDS is aiming to set up an industry committee to swap ideas with the Government on savings initiatives and reducing administration costs. The IMA and Pima have signed up to the proposal, with the former set to send written invitations to the top 10 fund groups. IFDS is keen on positioning the forum as a means for the likes of the Treasury to be able to swap ideas with the industry on such innovations as Individual Pensions Accounts and the Child Trust Fund, along with wider industry issues such as the standardisation of transfers.
