Simon Clinch has taken over from Alex Ingham as head of US equities at Aberdeen Asset Managers, with the latter to leave the group. Clinch will assume responsibility for the group's £172m North American fund, which was previously managed by Ingham. Clinch, who will report to head of equities Hugh Young, joined Aberdeen in 2001 from Vencap International, where he specialised in emerging technologies.
