Gartmore has renamed its former fettered fund of funds, Gartmore Balanced Strategy Fund and, since 2 January, Bambos Hambi and team have been building up the portfolio with external funds. Top holdings now consist of Schroder UK Alpha Plus, Cazenove UK Growth & Income, New Star Higher Income, Artemis Income, Lazard UK Alpha and New Star Sterling Bond. Between 2 January to 28 January the fund has delivered 2.5% bid to bid, compared to the sector average of 1.2%, according to Lipper.
