Investec is to change the name of Alastair Mundy's UK Value fund to UK Special Situations on 3 March. The investment process will remain unchanged but the group feels the name more accurately reflects the fund's philosophy. David Aird, managing director of the fund management business at Investec, said this is the start of a campaign to highlight the fund to investors. He feels it has yet to emerge as a serious contender in the UK All Companies sector, unlike Mundy's Cautious Managed vehicle, which has been among the top sellers on the Cofunds platform.
